Professional Studio
Srishti Lab’s staff and Principle Designers work with client briefs to create powerful innovation teams that execute projects to the client’s requirements, scale and schedule. As appropriate they blend in Srishti’s talented students, industry-experienced faculty and visiting researchers. The studios can run intense, skill specific short term projects. Or they can develop resources into mini-labs which develop longitudinal knowledge and are the basis of growing design talent and organizations. These studios can combine a combination of projects from the undergraduate and graduate studios and Srishti’s diploma and Master’s projects. The focus is on a deep engagement with the client over a longer period of time enabling the greatest delivery of value for the investment.
Apprentice Studio
Offered in conjunction with Srishti’s graduate level programs, these studios apply the higher skill levels of graduate students in a more focused manner on the clients brief. Srishti’s transcultural design program brings in designers from with a variety of design areas focusing on opportunities and challenges of design rooted in the transcultural nature of current societies and markets. Globalization and communication has created societies best served by the fused understanding of multiple cultures. These focused studios of two to four students led and mentored by labs staff are offered with studio time up to 40 hours a week.
Young Minds Studio
Structured around Srishti’s practicum based design curriculum, these design studios are a part of the third and fourth year design education. With between 4-5 highly creative and energetic design students guided by S.Labs staff, the students develop a strategic design project to create a variety of outcomes appropriate to the brief. The outcomes will range from field studies and insights to alternative concepts to evaluations which will be presented and delivered to the client. These studios align with Srishti’s academic calendar year and are offered between July-November and January-April. The studios vary from 8 to 40 hours a week over an 8 to 12 week term.
