Cultural Anthropologist
Pranav specializes in Cultural Anthropology. He has travelled to many parts of India, to understand cultural diversity. He also visited Hong Kong and China. He has worked as a volunteer for Vivekananda Girijana Kalyana Kendra (VGKK), a NGOand studied the effect of Social, Technological factors on the tribes living in B R hills region. He was in Nicobar studying the effect if tsunami on Health and Educational services. He has experimented with the ‘Gurukula’ model of education in rural Karnataka. He was a part of the survey conducted by Govt of Karnataka, on scholarships given to backward classes for doing professional courses.
Pranav has a sound understanding of technology. He trained field workers in using email, email devices for Enabling / IP Cell technologies. With HP Labs he has ideated on Collaborative tools and input devices for Indian languages. He helped VGKK in their Rural Resource Centre in collaboration with ISRO. Pranav has a Masters Degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Mysore, 2008 (Gold Medallist).
