Priyanka graduated in Product and Interface Design from the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore in 2011. Her work expands from interactive installations and exhibition design for the Kabir project to product and service system design projects. She even participated in the USID conference of 2008, for the Nokia competition on innovative design solutions for the betterment of the farming sector. She has worked with Idiom, Titan Industries, and Thunk in India, a start-up company that creates products by up-cycling waste.

Priyanka did her diploma project with Nokia in collaboration with the Srishti Labs. Her project was based on the ways of working via Mobile phones in the emerging market sector. Her in-depth research into the Indian cultural context of work led her to explore the small scale businesses or the “walas” of the emerging market, how they work and compete with larger brands and businesses today. Using various research methods she looked at how the marriage of inclusive growth and design innovations can create a platform for emerging market businesses to broadcast themselves and become more efficient in terms of accessibility to all. She has now joined Srishti Labs as part of a one year fellowship program me to further explore design innovations in different market sectors.
