Principle Product and Interaction Designer

Silas Grant studied Product Design at Central St Martins in London. He then went on to work in Fashion Accessories designing and overseeing manufacturing of a wide range of Sunglasses, Watches and Bags for high end streetwear brands in Australia and Europe.

He then worked at Nokia Design London as a Senior Design Manager for the Fashion and Premium categories, he and his team producing the iconic 8800 Arte, one of the first ever phones to utilise the accelerometer for gesture control, collaborating with KhodiFiez he produced the fashion icon 7500 and 7900 Prism, the 7500 went on to win a prestigious Red-Dot award. Also designing the ubiquitous Supernova Collection, 7610, 7510, 7310, and the 7210.

Silas then worked exclusively on the future concepts for Nokia, developing the 2010 and 2011 portfolio. In June 2009 he decided it was time to start his own company, Bedouin, which produces high end English made bags. Whilst starting up his brand he has also designed DECT phones for SGW and spent a year teaching Product Design to the new generation of designers at Central Saint Martins.
